Mindfulness-based childbirth and parenting (MBCP) – Online class

Join other expectant parents in this groundbreaking 9-week live-online mindful birthing course. Learn to engage the mind to work with pain, fear, and anxiety during labor while increasing confidence and courage for the experience of labor and delivery.

 

In this Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) course we can:

- Access deep physical and mental relaxation

- Learn to engage the mind to work with pain during labor

- Increase confidence and courage for the experience of labor and delivery

- Practice prenatal yoga for strength and flexibility

- Develop skills for managing stress in pregnancy, parenting, and daily life

- Enhance partner communication skills

- Become more aware of our own approach to parenting

 

This course will be conducted both live using Zoom and in a virtual classroom space, where participants will have opportunities to converse with their classmates, share helpful materials, ask questions, and delve into pregnancy, parenting, and mindfulness resources throughout the duration of their 9-week class series – and beyond!

MBCP online REGISTRATION

STEP 1

Select your class and pay your $100 deposit

  • Both pregnant attendees and their partners (if applicable) must complete intake surveys.​

  • If you are a healthcare professional auditing the class in as a participant-observer, please fill out our professional surv​​ey.​

  • Please note that professional attendance of this MBCP Online course does not qualify you to teach MBCP or lead mindfulness practices.

STEP 2

Fill out our Participant Intake Surveys

  • Classes fill on a first-come, first-serve basis. ​​​​

  • If a class is full, we will contact you with a choice to be waitlisted, to choose another class series, or to refund your deposit.​

  • Your subsequent payment will be applied using the credit card you use for your deposit. Please plan accordingly.​

STEP 3

You will be contacted for an interview

  • The Admission Interview is a chance for us to review your participant surveys together, to assess your readiness for enrolling in the MBCP online series, and to answer any preliminary questions you may have about the MBCP program.

STEP 4

You will receive your admission letter

  • After your Admission Interview, we will email you your Admission Letter, which will contain all of the technology, links, supplies, and other information that you need to participate in the MBCP Online Series. Please review the Admission Letter carefully.

STEP 5

Read, Learn, Practice

  • It's never too early to start your mindfulness practice. Consider reading Mindful Birthing: Training the Mind, Body and Heart for Childbirth and Beyond or reviewing some of our other resources.
