  Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
 

This one-day workshop is designed for nurses, midwives, physicians, doulas, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, prenatal yoga instructors, therapists or anyone who works with families during the childbearing years. Through meditation, yoga and group discussion we will learn about and practice mindfulness, moment-to-moment awareness, as it is taught in the Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting Education Program (MBCP) and explore ways to bring this stress reducing skill into our lives and the lives of those we serve.

Mindfulness, Stress, and Childbirth: A Mindfulness Workshop for The Professional Care Provider

The workshop offers a way to:

  • Understand of how mindfulness can be an essential life skill for the challenges inherent in childbirth and parenting
  • Learn how the mind affects the physiology of pregnancy, childbirth and lactation
  • Discover new approaches for assisting childbearing clients
  • Practice mindfulness for renewing our own well-being in work and personal life
